Anima is, according to C.G. Jung, the feminine archetype found in all men. In 2021, I worked with a Jungian psychoanalyst who did my therapy through what she found in my photos. It helped me understand that my Anima was devitalized. I decided to look for it through my photography, using it as an alchemical tool for me and for the person I photograph.
With each session, I manage to integrate my Anima by seeing it reflected like a mirror in women whose qualities I admire, which are certainly a reflection of my own Anima. On the side, I have been able to verify throughout the sessions that the energy engraved in the photos or the session itself generates in some of them a catharsis of varying intensity. They reveal a part of themselves that they needed to see.
Photography ends up being an alchemical instrument, leaving a visual record of the interaction between two souls who, in a way, were trying to transmute something.
Anima project
